National major science and technology infrastructure, 500-meter spherical radio telescope (FAST) will be completed in 2016 in Pingtang County, Guizhou put into operation. Upon completion, FAST will become the world’s largest single-aperture astronomical radio telescope and will maintain its leading position in the world in the next two to three decades. The development of astronomical tourism in the world’s largest 500-meter spherical radio telescope integrates with the surrounding karst landforms, natural weather and national cultural tourism resources while ensuring the smooth construction and normal operation of FAST.
