录放磁头是录音机的磁电转换元件。磁头的品质以及它与录放电路的配合状况,对整机电性能有决定性的影响。录放磁头又是一种易磨损的元件,有一定的使用寿命。盒式收录机的录放磁头寿命定义为在给定的频响下磁头录放频响下降4dB所用的时间。在此之后,磁头录放频响的高频段明显跌落,灵敏度下降,信噪比变劣,失真加剧。一般坡莫合金磁头的寿命约为600～1000小时。因此,若想保持收录机良好的录放效果,就需要在适当的时候更换磁头。目前收录机的种类和型号很多,人们往往会为购不到原型号的磁头而发愁。其实,从维修角度考虑,要求不必那么严格。对于一般中档和高档家用盒式收录机,选用普通国产双声道录放磁头,并根据代用磁头主要参数对收录机部分电路作些调整和补偿,就可获得满意的效果。
