金刚石是已知的最硬的物质。为了保证硬度量值的准确一致,在我们工作中,按照检定规程对硬度计进行全面检定时,发现金刚石压头由于长期使用(以洛氏硬度计用金刚石圆锥体压头为最常见和明显),金刚石同焊接质或焊接质同压头体出现裂纹,使金刚石锥体与压头柄轴线的同轴度,倾斜度严重超差,从而影响硬度试验数据的准确性。
