I. INTRODUCTION One-dimensional tidal wave motion is discussed, especially its nonlinear and bottom-friction effect. The conclusions obtained are helpful to generalize the research on two-dimensional tidal wave motion and can also be used to approximate some of the estuarine Tide phenomenon.
