近视郭恒著《中国书法史通论》,我惊呆了,一位80岁的老者,竟出版了这样大部头宏篇巨著,分上、中、下三册,1360余页,从上古文字初创至清末民国,3000余年历史时期,标出中国文字的演变轨迹,著文约百万字,图版千余幅,文图合璧,书史、书家、书论、书迹四为一体的中国书法史通论,弥被历代书史断代、简论之缺,为当代书学之盛举。这种史实考据性的著作,与普通文学创作截然不同,作者须具有高深的文化底蕴,专业从事书法研究,长期搜集考证,占有大量的书法史料,并有坚韧不拔精神的人,才能完成的。
