The authors report two new uses of the immunoperoxidase method: quantitation by cell surface immunoglobulin (SIg) and automatic recognition of B lymphocytes. The first usage: Quantitative SIg by cells using a Zeiss microscope and a Leitz classification plate. 6 cases of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) per cell activity range of 100 to 200 units.
