In order to explore the status quo of Ophraella communa populations distributed in different regions of China, the mating behavior and mating performance of three geographic populations from Nanjing, Changsha and Fuzhou were studied. The results showed that the probability of mating between Nanjing population and Fuzhou population within 6 h was significantly lower than that of the control (inter-population mating between male and female), but the probability of mating between Nanjing population and Changsha population was significantly lower than that of control Significant differences were found between male and female population in Nanjing and Fuzhou populations. The number of female mating in Nanjing and Fuzhou populations was significantly higher than that in female populations. However, there was no significant difference in the number of mating between Nanjing and Changsha populations. There was no significant difference in the developmental characteristics of egg hatching rate, larval pupation rate and adult eclosion rate between the three geographic populations of individual hybrids and the control (individual inbred individuals). According to the results of the study, it is presumed that there is a certain degree of pre-mating isolation between individuals in Nanjing population and Fuzhou populations in mating behavior.
