伟大的诗人惠特曼说:“爱,需要时间;爱,也需要诚实;爱,还需要用语言来表达。”由此可见,语言不仅是表述思想的工具,也是传递情爱的工具。恋人之间的相互赞美及爱慕的表达,都是竭尽全力选择优美动听的言词,运用带有旋律的声调,借以引发对方的兴趣。夫妻间的性爱也少不了用语言来表达,这是人和动物的一大区别。用语言不断地表达对配偶的爱慕,不仅是维持婚后爱情的必要条件,而且对每一次的亲热,每一次的性生活都具有举足轻重的影响。“你真好”、“我爱你”此类“爱情鸟”的语言,常常是点燃爱情之火的先导。现代性科学研究表明,性生活中的情话有助于女性得到满足,从而使夫妻双方在精神上得到更多的享受。
