摄影史及史论在国中的处境一向比较尴尬。一方面,似乎人人都知其重要、称其重要;但另一方面,其重要似乎多半体现在为老照片的市场价值背书之上。至于此显性价值之外的隐性价值,如历史之脉络、演变之规律、内蕴之思想,注目者已寥寥,动手一探究竟者更鲜矣。因此,迄今尚无一本完整的、学术意义上的《中国摄影史》,也就是一个尽管遗憾却也难怪的事实了。与此平行的另一个事实是:对于西方摄影大师由来已久、连绵不绝、且无怨无悔的热切与仰望。如一个月前的8月30日,法国著名摄
