党中央、国务院关于开发、开放上海浦东的决定是我国改革开放历史进程中的一件大事,标志着我国经济发展的战略重点将移到长江流域,这为上海和长江流域各省的经济发展提供了极为有利的机遇。四川作为长江上游的重要省份,应充分认清自身在长江经济带所处的地位、作用,以浦东开发开放为契机,充分利用有利条件发展四川经济。四川改革起步早,已取得令人瞩目的成就,但在对外开放方面与先进省市相比却有较大差距,必须进一步解放思想,加大改革力度。为了从战略高度研究浦东开发与四川经济发展的关系,本刊特从本期起新辟“浦东开发与四川经济发展这一专栏,以期从多角度、全方位研究四川呼应浦东开发、开放的对策,从而使四川在积极参与长江流域的经济合作中赢得主动,进一步振兴四川经济,我们热忱欢迎各方面的有识之士,围绕浦东开发与四川经济发展这一主题,积极为本专栏撰稿,为加快四川经济建设的步伐献计献策。
The decision of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on the development and opening up of Shanghai’s Pudong is a major event in the historical process of China’s reform and opening up. It marks that the strategic focus of China’s economic development will be moved to the Yangtze River, providing economic development in Shanghai and other provinces in the Yangtze River Basin Very favorable opportunity. As an important province in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, Sichuan should fully recognize its own position and role in the Yangtze River economic belt. Taking the opportunity of Pudong development and opening up, Sichuan should make full use of favorable conditions to develop its economy. Since the start of reform in Sichuan Province, remarkable successes have been achieved. However, there is a big gap between opening up and opening up to the advanced provinces and municipalities. We must further emancipate the mind and increase the intensity of reform. In order to strategically study the relationship between the development of Pudong and the economic development in Sichuan, we hereby open up a new column entitled “Pudong Development and Economic Development in Sichuan Province” with a view to exploring Sichuan’s response to the development and opening up of Pudong from all angles and all aspects So as to enable Sichuan to take the initiative in actively participating in the economic cooperation in the Yangtze River valley and to further rejuvenate the economy in Sichuan. We warmly welcome all people of insight and focus on the theme of Pudong’s economic development in Sichuan and Sichuan’s economic development. We are actively contributing to this column, To speed up the pace of economic construction in Sichuan offer advice and suggestions.
