November 1999 and December 2000, with the PetroChina Company Limited and China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation established one after another, China’s oil industry also gave birth to a new word: the surviving enterprises. The surviving enterprise, as its name implies, exists and continues. However, from the very first day of its establishment, the surviving enterprises have no time to consider continuing. The first thing they face is the survival crisis. Compared with joint-stock companies, the surviving enterprises not only inherited the original large number of redundant group companies, but also bear many non-performing assets. These two inherent deficiencies are like the two more red and the more tight the rope, the survival of survival survivors le more difficult. Is to sit still, or a fight against water? Surviving businesses bite their teeth, with indomitable courage, embarked on a road of survival for survival.
