1987年9月8日,在厦门经济特区,以招商引资为主要目的的福建投资贸易洽谈会悄悄地向世界拉开了帷幕。虽然取得的成果今天看来微不足道——合同利用外资4500多万美元,对外贸易成交额7500万美元,但这一成功尝试为福建的对外开放写下了极其重要的一页。 从此以后,一年一度,海内外的企业家、投资商、政府官员便为之忙了起来,带着资金、带着项目、带着美好的心愿,奔向那把以阿拉伯数字“9”、“8”和福建招商贸易洽谈会的英文缩写FFIIT组成的金钥匙,奔向那座美丽的海滨城市。 从此以后,中国多了一座向世界展示自己的舞台
On September 8, 1987, in Fujian’s special economic zone, the Fujian Investment and Trade Fair, with the main purpose of attracting investments, quietly opened the curtain to the world. Although the achievements made so far seem insignificant - more than 45 million U.S. dollars were contracted for foreign investment and 75 million U.S. dollars were foreign trade transactions, the successful attempt to write an extremely important page for Fujian’s opening up. From now on, once a year, entrepreneurs, investors and government officials from home and abroad are busy with money, carrying projects and carrying good wishes toward the “9” in Arabic numerals, “8” and Fujian Merchants Trade Fair in English abbreviation FFIIT composed of the golden key, toward the beautiful coastal city.
