By using plug flow and trajectory model, the removal efficiencies of inclusions in triangular and rectangular tubes were theoretically analyzed when traveling magnetic field was used to purify liquid metal, and the ways to improve the removal efficiency of inclusions were found. Material removal efficiency were compared; determine the traveling wave magnetic field can effectively remove the particle size range of inclusions
