中国国家主席江泽民11月15日上午在印度尼西亚举行的亚太经合组织领导人非正式会议上发言,详细阐述了中国对国际问题、世界经济及对亚太区域贸易自由化问题的态度和立场。 江泽民在发言中指出,世界需要稳定,地区需要稳定,国家需要稳定。没有稳定的环境,什么都搞不成,已经取得的成果也会失掉。他说:“和平、稳定、发展、合作,是世界人民的呼声。这就要求在这个千差万别、变化迭出的世界上提倡兼容而不是排斥,友好相处而不是欺凌对抗,求同存异而不是强加干涉。”
Speaking at the informal APEC leadership meeting held in Indonesia in the morning of November 15, Chinese President Jiang Zemin elaborated on China’s attitude and position on international issues, the world economy and trade liberalization in the Asia-Pacific region. Jiang Zemin pointed out in his speech that the world needs stability, the region needs stability and the country needs stability. Without a stable environment, nothing can be done and the gains already made will be lost. He said: “Peace, stability, development and cooperation are the voices of the people in the world.” This calls for promoting compatibility instead of exclusion, friendly co-existence instead of bullying confrontation, seeking common ground while reserving differences instead of interfering in interventions in this vastly different and changing world.
