前言 1978年7、8月号英中友好刊物ChinaNow上有一篇文字谈到英国人虽同中国人交往而仍未能真正了解中国人的一个原因:他们不通中国人的姿势语。因为即使是已经通晓汉语的英国人,对汉人自幼就开始从父母那儿学来的那些全民族通用的非言词交际手段即姿势语,也照样不能作出任何反应;而这种非言词手段却是汉人在有意无意之中用来直接向英国人传达信息的工具:
Preface In July and August 1978, there was a remark in ChinaNow, a Sino-British friendship publication, that one of the reasons why the British did not really understand the Chinese even though they were interacting with the Chinese was that they did not understand the Chinese posture. For even English-speaking Britons still can not react to the non-verbal means of communication common to all ethnic groups that they learned from their parents when they were young.
