一本《傅山的世界》让我们认识了白谦慎,一位美国的华人艺术史家。当然,白谦慎的学术成就远不止于此,《傅山的交往和应酬》、《与古为徒和娟娟发屋》等著作的相继问世,使他成为一位享有国际声誉的学者。著作丰富又谦虚勤奋的他从本科到博士生十二年的政治学学习并未阻挡他对艺术史的热爱,果断的转专业和自我的勤勉最终成就了他在艺术史学科中的重要位置,这当然也与他自小对书法的热爱和对纯学术的坚守分不开。他极具先锋性的思想和言论一直深受艺术史学者、批评家、艺术家、艺术爱好者的关注,并总能让人惊醒。本次采访主要围绕他的学术历程、艺术创作和最新的学术批评展开,将令我们更加全面的了解白谦慎,并以期对当下书法和学术界产生影响。
A book entitled “The World of Fu Shan” made us acquainted Bai Qian Shen, an American Chinese art historian. Of course, Bai Qian Shen academic achievements far more than this, “Fu Shan’s exchanges and entertainment,” and “ancient apprentice and Juanjuan” and other works made one after another, making him an internationally renowned scholar. His rich and modest diligence from his undergraduate to doctoral studies in political science did not stop his love of art history, decisive professional and self-diligence eventually achieved his important position in the history of art, This, of course, is also inseparable from his childhood love of calligraphy and the adherence to pure academic. His highly avant-garde ideas and rhetoric have always been the focus of art historians, critics, artists, art lovers, and always awakened. This interview mainly focuses on his academic history, artistic creation and the latest academic criticism.
