对文化的理解可以促使人们文化意识的形成,人们需要对民族活动方向、世界观、语言和社会构成有个深入的把握和理解。萨丕尔曾经说过:语言有力地决定我们对于社会问题和社会过程的一切想法。语言是文化的载体,文化跟语言有着紧密的联系。要实现英语教学的目标,就需要加深学生对中外文化差异的理解。根据英语学习的需要去结合中外文化差异来实施有效性教学。跨文化意识是对目的语的语言文化的深入认识来调整自己对语言的理解,并且形成一种自觉性。跨文化意识是一个需要逐渐成形的过程,意识成形就可以指导全人类的情感相互渗透和相互共存。
