The use of esophageal stents for the treatment of esophageal stenosis has been reported in many literatures[1–2], but there are few reports on the comprehensive efficacy of palliative treatment of esophageal cancer. This article analyzed 76 patients with advanced esophageal cancer, half of whom received conventional palliative care and the other half received palliative treatment with esophageal stents.
