新生研讨课的课程特点是打破以课堂为中心、以教师讲授为中心、以教材内容为中心的教学传统,强调学生的参与意识,将学生置于课堂教学的中心位置,使其从一个被动的知识接受者转变为一个主动的知识探索者。新生研讨课作为引导型课程,对于艺术设计专业的学生而言,应从完成角色转换、了解学习特点、明确学习目的几个方面进行组织和施行,以便为学生四年的大学学习生活打下良好的基础。
