巴马,这是一块神奇而圣洁的土地,位于广西西部的都阳山脉南麓。湛蓝的盘阳河流经全境,这里是一个山清水秀、物丰人寿的边山小城。第四次全国人口普查数字表明,巴马瑶族自治县百岁老人共66人,比1982年第三次人口普查又多出16人。1991年11月,在日本东京举行的国际自然医学会第13次年会上,巴马被世界上确认为继前苏联高加索地区、南美的维利巴姆、巴基斯坦的罕隆地区和中国新疆之后的第五个世界长寿之乡。
