最近,荷兰一名工程师发明了一种根据物理原理工作的新型灭火技术——IFEX—3000脉冲灭火技术.采用这种技术的灭火器材使用的灭火剂为水、干粉、泡沫、沙子、水泥等.最常用的是水,其最大特点是节省灭火剂,避免大量消防用水造成的后患.脉冲灭火技术具有下列优点:基于高的加速度,灭火剂直接喷入火场;由于喷射灭火剂的速度极高,形成微小的雾滴和极大的冷却降温面积;灭火剂需求量多倍降低,从而使此灭火器有极大的灵活性,提高了现场灭火速度;因灭火剂造成的水患几乎降到零.
