打从150年前对外开放港口以后,日本横滨便迅即成为日本最国际化的城市之一。外国人纷至沓来,经商定居,西洋建筑、宗教及文化等也随之陆续出现,形成独特的城市景观,令横滨拥有在日本境内甚罕见的异国情调。横滨市政府于1971年发起了“横滨个性都市空间形成”计划,将原来的历史建筑物投入新的文化用途,为其注入新生命,而近年来在黄金町发起的文化小区计划,在推广文化艺术之余,原来还抱着重大的社会责任——唤醒沉睡而乏力的小区气息。
Since opening the port 150 years ago, Yokohama in Japan has quickly become one of Japan’s most cosmopolitan cities. Foreigners come in after another, business settlements, Western architecture, religion and culture are also emerging one after another, forming a unique urban landscape, making Yokohama has a rare exotic in Japan. In 1971, Yokohama City Government launched the “Yokohama Individual City Space Formation” project, which put the original historical buildings into new cultural purposes and injected new life into them.
