星移斗转弹指间,天增岁月国增辉。已过不惑之年的社会主义祖国,正以矫健的步伐,迈向90年代,进入本世纪最后的十年。20世纪以来,在我们这个星球上,发生了人类历史上具有深刻意义的两场伟大的变革: 一是对不合理的社会制度的变革。从苏联的十月社会主义革命到中华人民共和国诞生,反映了社会主义不可阻挡的历史洪流到处都在胜利地前进。改革,是社会主义制度的自我完善,它体现了社会主义制度的无比优越性和强大的生命力。

The socialist motherland that has passed the age of no less hesitation is stepping in a vigorous pace toward the 90s and into the final decade of this century. Since the 20th century, two great changes of profound significance in human history have taken place on our planet. The first is the transformation of an irrational social system. From the Soviet Socialist Revolution in October to the founding of the People's Republic of China, it reflects the irresistible historical torrent of socialism that has been victoriously advanced everywhere. Reform is the self-improvement of the socialist system. It embodies the immense superiority and strong vitality of the socialist system.
