新青年社于1920年11月出版的“新青年丛书”是中共红色出版事业的第一批图书,其第六种《欧洲和议后之经济》是著名经济学家凯恩斯成名作的中译本,由陈独秀亲自编辑校对。尽管凯恩斯本人并非马克思主义者,但是该书的编译出版对于帮助当时的中国人理解资本主义和帝国主义的本质属性提供了新资料、新见解,发挥了启蒙作用,在客观上有助于马克思主义在中国的传播。
The New Youth Series, published in November 1920 by the New Youth Society, is the first batch of books published by the Communist Party of China in the field of red publishing. The sixth “European and Post-Economy” is the Chinese translation of the famous economist Keynes’s masterpiece , Personally edited by Chen Duxiu proofreading. Although Keynes himself was not a Marxist, the compilation and publication of the book provided new information and new insights into assisting the Chinese at that time to understand the essential attributes of capitalism and imperialism, and played an enlightening role in objectively contributing to Marxism Spread in China.
