为加快建设上海国际航运中心,我国最大的国际通航港口上海港,集中优势发展港口拳头产品——集装箱业务,大力开辟集装箱运输的绿色通道,使港口的集装箱吞吐量迅猛上升。到12月15日零点,上海港的集装箱存吐量已突破了400万标准箱大关,实现了年集装箱吞吐量递增100万箱以上的历史性突破。中共中央政治局委员上海市委书记黄菊为此专门发来了贺电,上海市、交通部等有关领导出席了“上海港集装箱吞吐量突破400万箱”庆典仪式。
In order to speed up the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Center and Shanghai Port, the largest international shipping port in China, we will concentrate on the development of a leading fake container-container business and devote great efforts to opening up a green channel for container transport so that the container throughput of the port will increase rapidly. At 0:00 on December 15, the container throughput of Shanghai Port has exceeded the mark of 4 million TEUs and achieved a historic breakthrough in the annual increase of container throughput by 1 million boxes. Huang Ju, party secretary of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau, specially sent a congratulatory telegram for this purpose. Relevant leaders of Shanghai Municipality and the Ministry of Communications attended the ceremony of “Handling 4 million Cases of Container Throughput in Shanghai Port”.
