Music can convey emotions, but also stimulate emotions. Much research has been done on these two aspects of music, yet the differences between the two functions are often ignored by the academic community. This paper uses the method of classification and the method of setting multi-dimensional components to explore the difference between the two kinds of emotional reactions in Western audiences, namely the perceived emotion and the induced emotion, Concerned about the impact of individual differences in the calculation of emotional response. The article’s author team found 2 904 first tabs with “happy” or “sad” or “angry” or “relaxed” tags on Last.fm
