尹达同志是我国著名的马克思主义历史学家,考古学家,他的逝世,对于我国史学界,考古学界,特别是新石器时代和原始社会史的研究是个重大损失。尹达同志是我国现代考古学的开拓者之一,也是中国原始社会史研究的开创人之一。解放后,他又是这一事业的组织者和领导者。将近半个世纪以来,他一直辛勤忘我地工作、战斗在这个岗位上。无论在考古调查发掘、史学研究和学术组织建设工作中,他都为马克思主义史学的发展做出了重要的不可磨灭的贡献。 Comrade Yin Da is a famous Marxist historian and archaeologist in China. His death has been a serious loss for the study of Chinese history, archeology, especially the Neolithic era and primitive social history. Comrade Yin Da is one of pioneers of modern archeology in China and one of the pioneers in the study of the primitive social history in China. After liberation, he is the organizer and leader of this cause. For nearly half a century, he has been hard-working selflessly, fighting in this post. He has made an important and indelible contribution to the development of Marxist historiography both in the excavation of archaeological investigations, in the study of historiography and in the construction of academic organizations.
