两性之爱,是人类生活中最深沉的爱;两性之间的关系,是人类生活中最隐秘的关系。千百年来,人们为它的烈举所惊叹,又为它的神奇所困惑。自然科学的进步并不能代替人性科学的进步,人的自身还存在着许多深奥的隐谜——人性之谜。而在这人性之谜中,最基本的莫过于两性之谜了。因为构成人的世界的最基本要素正是男人和女人;构成人的关系的最基本结构也是男人和女人。因此,研究男人和女人,研究他们各自的地位和作用,研究他们之间的联系和行为方式,就成了人的科学的一个重要课题。
