杨懋春的《一个中国村庄:山东台头》是关于中国最古老农业区一个典型村庄山东台头全面而详尽的研究。作者将家庭作为最基本的群体作为描述对象,进而扩展到村庄,集镇之间的互动,把台头村这个相对独立的社区作为有机的整体,揭示了村庄村民等社区内部各要素之间的文化联系网络,从整体上把握和理解台头村人民的生活、思想和情感,向读者和研究者解释了一个中国式村庄的历史存在样态。
