Traditionally, hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage has been considered as one-off, but some cases of recurrent stroke have been found with the use of CT scans. The authors reviewed 518 patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage admitted to Chonan Hospital, Soonchunhyang University from January 1985 to December 1988, of which 14 (2.7%) had CT confirmed as recurrent intracerebral hemorrhage. The clinical features of 14 cases, 1 males and 13 females, the average age of the first bleeding 54.5 years old, the second was 55.4 years old. The average interval between the two bleeding was 13.1 months.
