在各种疾病中,癌症可谓是“头号杀手”。据世界卫生组织报告,每年世界上有900万起新的癌症病例发生,500万人死于癌症。尽管有先进的医疗技术,由于平均寿命的延长,生活方式的改变以及抽烟等原因,如果没有进一步抑制癌症的措施,预计到2020年每年将有2000万起新的癌症病例,而癌症患者死亡人数将突破1000万人。“巴黎抗癌宪章”是2000年2月4日在法国巴黎世界肿瘤高峰会议上签署的。这次会议是针对全球癌症发病率和死亡率急剧上升的现状,由联合国教科文组织外交大使、国际抗癌会议主席凯亚特教授(D.Khayat)主要发起。会议呼吁建立肿瘤科研的国际性合作,攻克癌症,使全世界的癌症病人都能得到更好的医疗、照顾和关心,并把每年的2月4日定为“世界抗癌日”。本期,我们带您一起聆听几位抗癌明星的故事,愿他们的坚强意志鼓舞我们每一个人!
In various diseases, cancer can be described as “number one killer.” According to the World Health Organization, there are 9 million new cancer cases in the world each year and 5 million people die of cancer.
