公示语以面对公众的形式达到某种交际目的,是日常生活中最常见的实用语言之一。公示语翻译对于一个国家或地区的对外形象及其交流有着极为重要的作用,因此解决公示语翻译错误问题也变得日益紧迫。笔者对运城公示语英译的错误进行分析并提出相关对策,同时希望能唤起更多人对公示语翻译质量的重视,使其更加规范和谐。
Publicity language in the face of public form to achieve some kind of communicative purposes, is one of the most common practical language in daily life. The translation of public signs is very important to the external image and communication of a country or region. Therefore, it is becoming more and more urgent to solve the problem of incorrect translation of public signs. The author analyzes the error of English translation of Yuncheng public signs and puts forward some countermeasures. At the same time, I hope to arouse more people to pay attention to the quality of public signs translation, making it more standardized and harmonious.
