The Story of Turban is the story of a non-filial son in Volume 4 of the Tang Dynasty’s Duan Cheng-style sequel Youyangzong (collected in the 16th episode of Xuejin Colliery). In North Korea and Japan, there are also very similar folk stories circulating in the world. In addition to the changes in the protagonists of the story, they are basically in line with the “muddy story” of China in terms of story structure, content and plot. A comparative study of the folk tales of China, North Korea and Japan in this story type will be a very interesting and interesting topic. The author will mainly focus on the similarities and differences of these stories and their modern meanings and cultural connotations centering on the stories of “Muddy Stories,” “Frog Legends,” and “Owl Stories.”
