In the operation of centrifugal pumps, it is rare that the operating parameters (flow and lift) are not changed. In general, it is always required that the pump be operated within a certain flow range and that its parameters need to be adjusted accordingly. As is known, the point of application of a centrifugal pump is the intersection of the pump head characteristic curve with the resistance curve of the external pipe network of the system in which the pump is located (Figure 1, curves 3 and 2).
