Economic operation of the United States July 13 US Department of Labor statistics show that in June the U.S. wholesale prices fell 0.4% last month. On August 10, wholesale prices fell 0.9% in July, the steepest decline in the past eight years as energy and food prices continued to fall. July 17 The U.S. Federal Reserve announced that U.S. industrial production in June dropped 0.7% from the previous month.
