The cytotoxicities of Xingkang chrysotileasbestos, Canada chrysotile asbestos (UICC),silicon and carbon dust on rat alveolar ma-crophages (MP) during 5, 10, 16 h incubationwere investigated. The phagocytosis and func-tion of MP were observed by microscope andSEM. The results showed the decrease of cellsurvival rate with culture time in each group.But the silical group showed a faster thanthe others.
