装在美国海岸警卫队军工生产委员会舰船上的主机有四冲程和二冲程柴油机两种,本研究院在这两种柴油机上进行了燃用油包水乳化油的试验,目的是为了证明烧这种油有否明显的节油可能。试验机上安装了能供给含水量从0到25%(占所供入的燃料总容积)的不稳定乳化油的试验性燃油系统。试验结果表明,四冲程柴油机在最常用的工况下烧含水量为15~25%的乳化油时可平均省油约2.5%;对二冲程柴油机,燃油消耗率并无明显下降,从所得的结果可下如此结论:美国海岸警卫队快艇柴油机烧这种类型的油包水乳化油得不到什么好处。
