2014年4月,“学术英语课程设计与教学方法研修班”的成功举办,为国内各高校学术英语教学改革带来了全新的理念和方法。文章从学术英语教学理论和实践两个层面概述了研修的主要内容和获得的启发。通过对学术英语的需求分析和对通用学术英语的理念定位,研修班为学术英语综合、社科、医学、写作等课程进行了教学示范,展现了传统教学方法如“笔记法”(note-taking)、意义和形式的结合、“识别作者语气”(identify voice)和以内容为依托的输出驱动等教学方法在学术英语教学中的创新性应用,指出了学术英语教学不但有“法”可依,而且灵活的教学模式更能张显学生的研究和探索能力,培养学生的英语应用能力和思辨能力。
In April 2014, the successful holding of “Academic English Course Design and Teaching Methodology Seminar” brought new ideas and methods to academic English teaching reform in colleges and universities all over the country. The article summarizes the main contents of the training and the enlightenment obtained from the two aspects of academic English teaching theory and practice. Through the analysis of the needs of academic English and the concept of general academic English, the seminar conducted teaching demonstration for such subjects as academic English synthesis, social sciences, medical science and writing, showing the traditional teaching methods such as “note method” -taking, the combination of meaning and form, the recognition voice and the content-based output-driven teaching methods in academic English teaching. It is pointed out that academic English teaching not only has “Law” can be followed, and flexible teaching model can better highlight the students ’research and exploration capabilities, develop students’ English ability and ability to think.
