Objective To investigate and analyze the incidence of respiratory diseases and related factors of naval personnel and provide basis for the prevention and control of respiratory diseases in naval vessels. Methods The epidemiological survey of naval respiratory diseases was designed to investigate the incidence of respiratory diseases and its related factors in 158 servicemen of a naval vessel. SPSS19.0 was used to analyze the correlation between the survey results and the results. Results The rank order of the respiratory diseases in naval vessels was 160.76% (254/158) for common cold, 75.32% (119/158) for chronic pharyngitis, 22.78% (36/158) for acute tonsillitis, and acute trachea- Bronchitis was 3.80% (6/158), and the age was positively correlated with the incidence of acute tonsillitis (r = 0.138, P = 0.042). The duration of service was associated with chronic pharyngitis (r = 0.202, P = 0.005) and acute tonsillitis (r = 0.135, P = 0.045). There was a positive correlation between the annual task time and acute tonsillitis (r = 0.159, P = 0.023) and acute tracheobronchitis (r = 0.142, P = 0.037) The incidence of acute bronchitis-bronchitis was significantly higher in those residing in ventilator cabin than those living in naturally ventilated compartments (χ2 = 12.105, P = 0.002). Conclusion Respiratory infectious diseases of naval service personnel have a high prevalence of common cold, chronic pharyngitis, acute tonsillitis and acute tracheobronchitis. Age, naval service time, the annual implementation of the mission time, the living environment of ventilation is a common respiratory diseases of naval vessels related factors.
