Studies have shown that poor pregnancy outcomes associated with elevated serum alpha-fetoprotein (MSAFP) may be due to some placental injury. Based on this perspective, it is of interest that blood hCG is used to predict small gestational age (SGA). To investigate the relationship between serum hCG levels and SGA in pregnant women, we measured blood hCG levels in 638 singleton pregnancies between January 1991 and April 1992 at 15-18 weeks gestation, and used median (MOM) statistics Analysis. This analysis does not include chromosomal abnormalities. Pregnancy outcomes are extracted from the medical records, including neonates with somatic abnormalities. Neonatal standard weight loss by 1.5 standard deviation as the standard into SGA and non SGA two groups, compared two groups of newborns weight.
