喹诺酮类抗菌药应用时间不长,所占市场份额还不大,但其增长速度特别快。1985年喹诺酮类抗菌药世界总销售收入仅为1.04亿美元,但到1986年就增加到4.65亿美元。预计世界范围内喹诺酮类抗菌药总销售收入的年增长率将高达23.3％,大大超过头孢菌素3.0％、青霉素4.1％的年增长率。喹诺酮类抗菌药年增长速度居各类抗生素之首,到1991年其总销售收入预计可达13.27亿美元,仅次于头孢菌素和青霉素。各类抗菌药的世界市场详细情况见下表:
Quinolone antibacterials have not been used for a long time and their market share is still small, but their growth rate is extremely fast. In 1985, the total sales revenue of quinolone antibacterial drugs in the world was only 104 million U.S. dollars, but it increased to 465 million U.S. dollars in 1986. It is estimated that the annual growth rate of the total sales revenue of quinolone antibacterial drugs in the world will reach as high as 23.3%, far exceeding the annual growth rate of cephalosporin 3.0% and penicillin 4.1%. The annual growth rate of quinolone antibacterials ranks first in all kinds of antibiotics and by 1991 its total sales revenue is expected to reach 1,327 million U.S. dollars, second only to cephalosporins and penicillins.
