[British International Nuclear Engineering] December 1987 Report] Japan Still Desires for Ocean Disposal Japan’s latest nuclear energy plan states that land and marine disposal will continue to be applied to low-level waste (LLW). Marine disposal “will continue to be prudently implemented in the future, while also fully considering the opinions of the countries concerned.” Japan is a party to the London Dumping Convention.
