In order to understand and grasp the resistance level and dynamics of Leptinotarsa decemlineata (Say) in Xinjiang, the theoretical basis for scientific drug use was provided. Six field populations of potato beetle (Urumqi, Fukang, Changji, Altay , Nilek and Turks, were tested for sensitivity to 14 conventional agents and triphenyl phosphate (TPP), diethyl maleate (DEM), and oxidized piperonyl butoxide (PBO) synergy. The results showed that the Turks population was sensitive to several agents compared to the reported baseline, and therefore the Turks field was identified as a sensitive line. Compared with the susceptible strain of Tex, the resistance of Changji population to cyhalothrin, deltamethrin, carbofuran and carbofuran was 108.8, 30, 17.6 and 24.7, respectively, while the Nilek population The resistances of these four agents were 29.4, 42.5, 10.1 and 89.9, respectively. In addition, Changji and Fukang populations also gave 8.9 and 13.0-fold moderate resistance to alpha-cypermethrin, respectively. The results of the synergistic assay showed that PBO had a synergistic effect on cyhalothrin for the Nilek population, and synergistic effect of carbofuran, PBO, TPP and DEM on the Changji population. Therefore, it is concluded that enhanced activity of detoxification enzymes may be one of the resistance mechanisms of cyhalothrin to cyhalothrin and carbofuran in Xinjiang. As the synergistic effect can not completely eliminate the resistance, the resistance of Xinjiang potato beetle may also involve other mechanisms.
