我区1967年开始试种湿地松,种子来源于广州、台山两地。本试验区为海拔高约70米的低丘陵,气候温和多雨,土壤是由石灰岩发育而成的微酸性赤红壤。湿地松引入后生长良好。16年生林分平均树高11.8米,最高14.0米,平均胸径17.3厘米,最大25.5厘米;12年生林分平均树高10.3米,最高12.2米,平均胸径17.9厘米,最大24.0厘米,据报导,
My area began experimenting with pine in 1967, with seeds from Guangzhou and Taishan. The test area is about 70 meters above sea level in the low hills, the climate is mild and rainy, the soil is developed from limestone slightly acidic red soil. Slash pine grows well after it is introduced. The average tree height of 16-year-old stands is 11.8 meters and the highest is 14.0 meters with an average diameter of 17.3 centimeters and a maximum of 25.5 centimeters. The mean tree height of 12-year-old stands is 10.3 meters and the highest is 12.2 meters with an average diameter of 17.9 centimeters and a maximum of 24.0 centimeters.
