英语阅读在中学英语中占有很重要的地位。中学英语教学大纲指出:“中学英语教学的目的是对中学生进行听、说、读、写的基本训练,培养学生口头上和书面上初步运用英语的能力,侧重培养阅读能力。”从某种意义上说,阅读能力的提高,是听、说、写能力提高的关键。通过阅读,扩大了知识面,增加了词汇量,交际时就不会因为知识或词汇贫乏而言不达意,写作时才能语言地道,内容丰富。从长远来看,中学阶段阅读能力的高低对学生以后的进一步深造也有很大影响。 English reading plays an important role in middle school English. The English syllabus for secondary schools points out that: “The aim of English teaching in middle schools is to provide basic training for listening, speaking, reading and writing to middle school students, to develop students’ ability to use English fluently and in written form, and to focus on cultivating reading skills.” In terms of sense, the improvement of reading ability is the key to improving the ability to listen, speak, and write. Through reading, we have expanded our knowledge and increased our vocabulary. When we communicate, we will not be unsatisfied because of lack of knowledge or vocabulary. When we write, we will be able to express our language and rich in content. In the long run, the level of reading ability in secondary school will also have a great influence on students’ further study in the future.
