屈曲约束支撑(简称BRB)是一种良好的耗能减震构件,在屈服之前能够为结构提供附加刚度,在屈服之后除了为主体结构提供附加刚度之外,还为结构提供附加阻尼。文章结合某5层医院门诊楼,通过设置屈曲约束支撑以解决结构因抗侧刚度不足而导致的层间位移角超过规范限值,并且屈曲约束支撑在罕遇地震作用下能够先于主体框架屈服进行耗能,使结构的屈服机制合理。
