有着“中国首善”之称的江苏黄埔再生资源利用有限公司董事长陈光标,于2010年9月5日发表了写给比尔·盖茨和巴菲特的公开信。他说:“2009年11月3日晚,我接受比尔·盖茨先生的邀请在北京进行私人会晤,就慈善事业进行了亲切交流。这次又应你们共同邀请再商慈善事业,感到非常愉快和高兴。今天,当你们来到以‘勤劳、智慧、善良’闻名于世的中国时,我在此郑重宣布:将做第一个响应并支持你们行动的中国企业家。在我离开这个世界的时候,将不是捐出一半财富,而是‘裸捐’——向慈善机构捐出自己的全部财产。”
