由克洛克纳-贝考瑞特公司研制的带中间驱动装置的自行式输送机具有以下3个特点①输送机采用本身的驱动装置可前进,采用回空链可作为轨式链进行导向;②输送机可拐小弯,按任意曲线行驶,与其它设备在端部衔接时,可呈铰接状;③当回空段升高,静止不动时,输送机可按移动时形成的曲线进行运输。采用该输送机可将不断更换位置的采煤设备与固定的胶带输送机之间的中空地段跨接起来,输送机和采煤机也可进行配合(图1)。
