According to the statistics of China Economic Weekly, there were 51 senior officials above the rank of deputy governors (ministers) who fell to the army after the 18th CPC Congress, among which 27 have entered the judicial process. If nothing unexpected happens, the above-mentioned senior officials will be successively tried. While it is natural for public opinion to focus on the trials of senior officials in Lhomoc and how to adjudicate them and what the verdict will be, at the same time one may also notice some new changes in the process of trial: off-site trials have become the norm for corruption Corrupt officials litigation rights protection more and more fully. These changes show the distinct attitude and firm determination of our party and state in “opposing the corruption by using the rule of law and by the rule of law,” and highlight the tremendous progress China has made in building a country under the rule of law.
