几年前,上海奉贤县发现江南地区的一株稀有古腊梅,《上海农业科技》1985年6 19月曾有记载,近来我们在上海嘉定县又发现一株太平天国年代栽植的优良古腊梅,这株古腊梅至今生机旺盛,郁郁葱葱,兴盛不衰地长在园子里,真是喜人。这株古腊梅栽植在上海嘉定县望新乡钱门塘居民郑孝平家园里,为郑氏祖传遗产,园子地邻河边.地势倾斜,地下水位低,排水良好,园土属砂质壤土,疏松肥沃,四周树木房舍遮蔽冬季的寒风,这些条件有利古腊梅的长寿。古腊梅有不同粗细的树干11根,株高5.5公尺,树冠垂直遮阴面积48平方公
